The creamy emulsion pale yellow-colored serum contains 10% AHA (Lactic, Glycolic, Citric and Fruit Acids), 1% natural BHA from Willow Bark extract, 3% Flower Acid (Hibiscus), Honey, Propolis, Royal Jelly, and the list goes on. It also has Turmeric extract which is a wonderful anti inflammatory ingredient. In the formula, I’m also seeing quite a good deal amount of different plant oils, which probably constitute to the moisturizing, emollient feel of the serum.
After testing out different ways of using it, I find I like it best when I use it either every other night or for 3 nights straight, not more. I notice that it already does the job great, at exfoliating and resurfacing. So there’s no need for me to go overboard, not that I want to anyway.
It still tingles once in a while. I can live with it but I need to make sure my skin isn’t sensitized to begin with, because the sensation can last for a while. It’s definitely not something I’d want to reach for say, after a day out in the sun. But I’ll use it a few days after my skin has rested and calmed down.
Results-wise, it exceeds my expectation. It helps to smooth out small congestions and promotes a more even skin tone. Am I wowed? On some days, it’s just alright. But it’s not because the product not performing well, it’s more of that I’m used to the effect of resurfacing products in general. My skin is definitely more accustomed to exfoliation that it did 7-8 years ago.
I did finish out the entire bottle though!
